The Road That Silver Built by P. David Smith

Pioneers of the San Juan Country is a highly recommended book available at Maria's Bookshop in downtown Durango. It is actually a combination of four previously published books. It is a compilation of stories written by some of the earliest white pioneers to come to the San Juan mountains.
